Useful Spa Information

Booking spa appointments
Peak hours are often late afternoons and weekends (especially Saturdays), so book as far in advance as possible in order to ensure getting the particular time, day, and therapist you want. It's easiest to accommodate you during off-peak hours, which are often in the mornings and mid-week. If you will be attending the spa with a gift certificate, it is a good idea to mention it so that the spa can advise you of any policy that may affect its use.

Jewelry

If possible, leave your jewelry at home as you will not need it for your day spa visit. If however, you have brought valuables, make certain that they are secure. If you choose instead to take them with you to your treatment, be mindful of not leaving them behind.

Communicating your preferences

If you want the therapist/stylist to go deeper or be gentler, let her know. Also, feel free to ask questions. Your therapist/stylist will appreciate knowing your thoughts and clarifying any issues you may have.

Pregnancy or Medical conditions

Be sure to mention any medical information when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Also, before your treatment begins, let your therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns. Tell the technician if you're wearing contact lenses before you have a facial.

Modesty issues

It is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone at our day spa. Therapists are well trained in the "art of draping" which means that they leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the massage table, and they keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are massaging. They also leave the treatment room before you get up from the table. Sun and spa going
Try to avoid the sun on the day of treatment and, in some cases, the day after. And always wear sun protection!

Don't feel pressure to communicate with your therapist

In the Spa, silence can be golden and provide a relaxing and meditative atmosphere. If you feel like chatting, we'll chat. But if you want to escape in silence, we wholeheartedly support you!

Gratuities

Your Spa treatment fee does not include gratuities. Between 15 and 20 percent for each person who gave you a service is customary, but you may of course leave more or less, depending on the quality of the service. It's easiest to leave the tip at the reception desk when you pay your bill rather than giving it directly to the therapist. We provide small tipping envelopes at the front desk or you can add gratuity onto your credit card or personal check.

Cancellations

All will agree: time is our most valuable asset. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. This gives the day spa enough time to fill the slot. The spa needs to pay its therapists even if a client doesn't show up. "No shows"  will be charged in full for the treatment scheduled.

Returned Checks
If a check is refused by the bank, we will assess a $15 service charge. Product Returns or

Exchanges

We will gladly accept any retail product return for store credit so long as the return is within 60 days of purchase and is accompanied with proof of purchase.

Children

To maintain our serene atmosphere, we ask that you not bring children to the Spa. We do, however allow children to enjoy certain facial and nail treatments under the following guidelines: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and all children under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their initial consultation form. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to have any body treatments or massages. Unfortunately no children under the age of 13 are permitted in the spa.

This is a professional Spa establishment

Our trained therapists and aestheticians are here solely to help improve your health, body and psyche. If a therapist ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to stop the treatment immediately.
